Hello all,
As duly appointed Congress Leader, I hereby open the Eighth MRPT Congress. Since it appears we are somewhat behind schedule, I will go ahead and announce the Congress schedule now. It may be amended later if needed.
Congress Opening: 16 May
Submissions and discussions of amendments to the manifesto & statutes (for consideration in the first round): 16-23 May
Vote on first round of Manifesto amendments:20-23 May 22-25 May
Vote on first round of statutory amendments:23-26 May 24-27 May
Submissions and discussions of amendments to the Manifesto & statutes (for consideration in the second round): 23-31 May
Vote on second round of amendments to the Manifesto: 28-31 May
Vote on second round of statutory amendments: 31 May - 3 June
Vote on final version of the Manifesto: 31 May - 3 June
Leadership election: 3-6 June
Appointment of a Party Whip: 7 June
Objections to presumptive Party Whip: 7-8 June
Vote on Cosa candidates and Senate endorsements: 9-12 June
Vote on motions: Whenever appropriate.
Last minute voting on motions, statute amendments, corrections, etc.: 12-14 June
Congress closing: 14 June
Elections begin: 15 June
Please note that from June 4th until the end of the Congress, I will be traveling and have very limited availability. I think I will still be able to participate in the votes, but someone else will have to run them after that point.
