WELCOME TO THE FIRST MRPT CONGRESS!
Fellow Moderate Radicals, guest speakers, supporters of the MRPT and other guests,
we are very happy to welcome you here, on our cozy own forum to attend the first ever meeting of the MRPT congress! The next month the MRPT will be deciding on the way we present ourselves during the next election, and as a democratic party should, we will do so by giving our members the chance to vote on important party decisions, most notably, the MRPT manifesto for the 45th cosa.
he MRPT has grown in the last two years. Not too long ago, we only had two members, now we have seven. This still means that we’re a small party though and like all other parties we are struggling with apathy and inactivity. This congress is our chance to show Talossa that we are here, that we are active and that we are ready to be a part of a serious government coalition, but more than that, this congress is a chance to determine where we stand and what we want, so we can strengthen our ideological foundation.
This congress is hereby opened, which means the deadline amendments to the party regulations, the first round of amendments to the manifesto and announcing your candidacy for the party leadership election has theoretically expired. We will allow until 23:59 GMT for late submissions though.
6 out of 7 members have already registered for voting rights. If you’re not one of those 6 or you want to become a member of the party during the congress you can still register at any time though.
For secret voting we already have the email addresses of 4 of the registered members. We hope to be able to get the other addresses on time for the first elections, so we can have full secret ballot elections.

Some logical rules.
We are very pleased to have as many Talossans as possible participating here, but of course as with all fora it’s nice to have some structure and some rules. Most rules of wittiquette apply here as well, specifically wittiquette 1, 2, 3!, 8, 9, 11, 12, 15 and 16 (you can read lobby or general discussion board instead of chatroom)
Wittiquette can be found here: talossa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=immigration&action=display&thread=2533
As for the division of subboards: Creating threads on the main podium is for those who are invited to speak their by the congress leadership. Everyone is of course free to comment on these threads. The ballot box is just for voting by MRPT members. Everyone is free to post on all the other boards, but please consider what board best suits the purpose of your post.
Talossans who aren’t members of the MRPT are more than welcome to create an account here or use a guest account to make comments.
Once again, welcome to the first MRPT congress. We hope you all have a great time here.
