My apologies for delay.
Vote here on 5 proposed amendments to the manifesto. The vote will take exactly 72 hours. Votes cast after that date will not be taken into account.
Proposed amendments:
1. Amend the section "On the Monarchy", which currently reads:
"The MRPT is committed to taking measures to make the Monarchy more acceptable to the Republican segment of the population if a compromise can be reached with broad support. These measures may on the long term include reducing the political powers of the Monarch and making it easier to remove a Monarch in a democratic way."
to read:
"The MRPT is fundamentally monarchist, and supports the hereditary Monarchy. However, we are also committed to taking measures to make the Monarchy more acceptable to the Republican segment of the population if a compromise can be reached with broad support. These measures may on the long term include reducing the political powers of the Monarch and making it easier to remove a Monarch in a democratic way."
2. Strike "Repeal of the Semi-Permeable Wall." from the first paragraph [Section "On the Monarchy"] and reword the second sentence [which currently reads: "No diplomatic relations with "bug-micronations" "] to read: "No diplomatic relations with "bug-micronations". The government should not abuseof its diplomatic powers."
(*I have removed the word "of" from the proposal, because I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong, Im not a native English speaker) the original is grammatically incorrect. If the author of the amendment (Lüc) doesnt want to make this change, I'll undo it.)
3. [In the Section "On provincial assignment" substitute "Passing the "Small Step Towards Real Provinces Act" would be a good first step towards achieving these goals." with "The MRPT is committed to keep pushing forward its own already Hoppered proposals regarding province catchment area reform"
4. From the section "On other issues", remove the sentence: "As long as Talossa does not have a lot of apolitical citizens, requiring the SoS to be completely apolitical is not realistic."
5. Amend the last part of the section "On micronations", which currently reads
"Maintain friendly relations with nations that are similar to Talossa"
to read:
"The Foreign Ministry should try to investigate what serious, "like minded" "micronations" are currently active and the potential risks and benefits associated with various forms of diplomatic contacts with such nations, within the limits of the Afaes Utphätseschti Act."
